INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (WINDOWS AND MACINTOSH)

Note: The following instructions are not complicated, you will be guaranteed to have problems and hours of frustration if you do not follow them step by step exactly as laid out.

STARTING THE INSTALLATION SOFTWARE.

1. Open the CD ROM tray. Place the Easy Internet CD-ROM in the tray, text side up.
2. Close the CD ROM tray and the CD should auto start. If it does proceed to step 4.
3. Run the program setup.exe
1. Macintosh users should double click the setup.exe icon
2. Windows users should click the Start button, then choose RUN. Type in the CD ROM drive letter followed by a colon and backslash and the word "setup .exe".
   (Example: d:\setup.exe).
4. The Easy Internet Setup Program will install:
1. Click Next.
2. Let the program default load to the Easy Internet Folder. Click Next.
3. Add Easy Internet Icons. Click Next.
4. Install Easy Internet. Click Next.
5. The Easy Internet Program will install on your computer. When it has successfully installed. Click Finish.
5. Carefully read the licensing agreement and click the appropriate button if you agree or disagree. If you disagree, the program will close.
6. The Easy Internet Program will start:
1. ISP Access Code - Enter "TRV" without quotes. It is not case sensitive. Click on Continue.
2. Carefully read the Acceptable Use Policy and click the continue button if you agree or the cancel button if you disagree. If you disagree, the program will close.
3. Login Name - Enter as typed below. It is case sensitive, and MUST be typed in lower case exactly as shown below.
4. Email User Name - Enter as typed below. In most cases it is the same as the Dialup login name. It is also case sensitive, and MUST be typed in lower case.
5. Real Name - Enter your name, Mixed case as if you typed it on a postal envelope.
6. Click on Continue.
7. Choose the method of which you will connect to the Internet:
   Phone line/modem OR broadband/LAN/CABLE/DSL.
8. Click Continue.
9. Select phone numbers: (ALGONA CUSTOMERS go to *** section)
   The State already says IOWA.
   Select a local city, choose the town by your phone prefix, not your address.
   Select a local phone number, this number is listed below that you are authorized to use.
   Click continue.
   
   ***ALGONA CUSTOMERS:
   
   
   DO NOT FILL IN A CITY OF PHONE NUMBER.
   
   
   Click Advanced.
   
   
   In Non-listed Number type = 295-2560.
   
   
   Click Continue.
7. The Applications and settings will be configured now, and the screen will display:
   
   Please wait, Easy Internet is working....
   
   When configuration is done it will display:
   
   Click OK.

CONNECTING TO THE INTERNET

1. To connect:
1. Windows - Look for a connection icon on your desktop. Double-click on that connection icon, enter in your password, and choose the CONNECT button.
2. Macintosh - Choose APPLE MENU ITEM, then CONTROL PANELS, then Remote Access.
2. Enter your password, then choose the CONNECT button.
3. After you connect, open and run any of the programs you have installed.
