The TRV Network
The TRV. Internet network is the backbone of our operation. Through the use of a variety of networking technologies, we provide a high level of Internet service and reliability.
Many small Internet Access Providers have only one connection to a regional or National ISP. At TRV. Internet we believe in redundancy; multiple connections are on-line at all times. Our automated management Systems keep continuous track of the status on our various links, and will automatically open alternate routes if one of the Internet connections fails.
This principle of redundancy is employed throughout the entire Multi-POP network spanning across the United States. Most locations have more than one permanent connection to several points in the TRV. Internet Network. This guarantees that failure of a single line or piece of equipment will not cause an extended network outage. High speed technologies used in our network include Dedicated T-1 and Fractional T-1 connections, Frame Relay, CDS/SMDS, and SONET/OC-3 Fiber systems. Traffic is carried by numerous carriers, making sure single switch failure will not cause an outage.
Our main Network Operations Center is at 415 4th Ave. in Livermore, Iowa. A backup facility is also operated at that location, assuring that even a severe disaster will have a minimum impact on the performance of our network.
Hardware used in our networks includes products from industry leaders such as ADC-Kentrox, 3-Com Systems, Bay Networks, Multitech, AT&T Fiber Systems, Telco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Hayes, APC.
